Tesla battery supplier Panasonic Energy is working on increasing battery energy density by 20 percent by 2030, according to the company. A one-fifth increase in battery energy density could improve the driving range of Tesla’s vehicles — or allow for lighter electric vehicles, without affecting driving range.
